Weekend Cave Tour is a perfect way to revisit the ancient traces of heritage that have now become the landmarks and repositories culminating Buddhist essence with paintings on the rock cut monuments. The Buddhist heritage trail explored during this famous Weekend Cave Tour includes three famous World Heritage Sites through Group of monuments at Sanchi, Ajanta and Ellora cave complex; allowing tourists to discover the best of ancient Buddhist heritage in India.

Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai -Bhopal Air (L/D)

Upon arrival at Mumbai airport, continue the Mumbai city tour including a visit to Prince of Wales Museum, Gateway of India Museum, Marine Drive, Jain Temple and Hanging Gardens. Later transfer to Mumbai domestic airport and depart for Bhopal to continue Weekend Cave Tour.

Overnight stay in Bhopal.

Day 02 : Bhopal (B/L/D)

Begin morning with a visit to the third century Sanchi Stupa, uniquely known for its well preserved stupas erected by Emperor Ashoka. Located atop a hill, Sanchi is known for its remarkable stupas, toranas or gateways, monasteries, temples, and pillars of antiquity. Here only a tourist can experience the genesis and flourishing of the Buddhist art and architecture in the region.

Overnight stay in Bhopal

Day 03 : Bhopal-Bhusaval-Ajanta-Aurangabad (B/L/D)

After early breakfast, transfer to Bhopal Railway Station to board connecting train for Bhusaval. On arrival at Bhusaval Railway Station, proceed for Ajanta. The Ajanta Group of caves, located on the gorge in the Sahyadri Hills depicts the Buddhist heritage of the religion during 200 BC to 650 AD. After sightseeing, proceed for Aurangabad.

Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

Day 04 : Aurangabad-Ellora-Mumbai (Air) Depart (B/L/D)

This morning begin the sightseeing tour of Ellora caves, one of the highly visited World heritage sites of India. The cave complex houses 34 monasteries and temples dedicated to Hindu, Jainism, and Buddhist beliefs. The caves also depict some of the excellent stonework dedicated to the legends related to Lord Shiva.

After visit, return back to Aurangabad and transfer to Airport to board connecting flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival at Mumbai, transfer to International Airport for flight to onward destination.
