Day 1, Delhi - Gaya (990 kms) (Mahaparinirvana Train tour )
17:30 hrs - Assemble at the Delhi Safdurjung Railway Station. Traditional Welcome and check – in to your respective coaches.

Day 2, Gaya – Bodhgaya (16 kms) (Mahaparinirvana Train tour )
06:30 hrs – Early morning tea, Wash & Change & breakfast on board.
08:30 hrs - Arrive at Gaya. Disembark the train and assemble for boarding the coaches for road journey to Bodhgaya for sightseeing of Bodhgaya including Mahabodhi Temple & Niranjana River.
12:30 hrs – Check in at hotel, lunch and relax till tea time.
16:00 hrs – Proceed for sightseeing of Thai Temple, Japanese Temple and Buddha Statue.

13:30 hrs - Proceed to Nalanda for sightseeing covering ruins of world famous Nalanda University & Nalanda Museum.

08:30 hrs – Departure for Sarnath (10 kms) for sightseeing of Dhamekh Stupa, Sarnath Museum, The Ashokan Pillar, Mulgandha Kuti Vihar.

Day 9, Delhi / Bhopal
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit Old Delhi with visit to the Rajghat ( Cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi ), drive past Red Fort It is a reminder of India's glorious past. The fort is Shah Jehan's symbol of power and elegance, Built behind red sandstone walls. Its main gate (Lahore Gate) faces Chandni Chowk, the perpetually congested avenue-heading west from the Red Fort, is filled with twisting lanes, small streets and Crowded Bazaars .Also visit Jama Masjid -It is an imposing mosque built by Shah Jahan in 1656 in Mughal style of architecture. This splendid structure boasts of being the largest and most exquisite mosque in India. Built in yellow sandstone, this grand tower is five storied each one possessing a distinct balcony. Also visit to India Gate – Built as a memorial to commemorate the 70,000 India soldiers killed in World War I, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1931. The gate is 160 feet high with an arch of 138 feet. and drive past President and Parliament House.
Transfer to domestic Airport to connect flight for Bhopal or By over night Train ( Bhopal Express) .On arrival transfer to hotel.

Day 12, Aurangabad
Morning excursion to Ajanta Buddhist caves. AJANTA is world's greatest historical monument recognized by UNESCO. There are 30 caves in Ajanta of which 9, 10, 19, 26 and 29 are chaitya-grihas and the rest are monasteries. These caves were discovered in AD 1819 and were built up in the earlier 2nd century BC-AD. Most of the paintings in Ajanta are right from 2nd century BC-AD and some of them about the fifth century AD and continued for the next two centuries. All paintings shows heavy religious influence and centre around Buddha, Bodhisattvas, incidents from the life of Buddha and the Jatakas. The paintings are executed on a ground of mud-plaster in the tempera technique.
(Ajanta buddhist caves remain closed on every Monday).
Afternoon sight seeing of Ellora Buddhist Caves: About 18 miles away from the city of Aurangabad -a group of rock temples - possess a magnificent series of Buddhist, Brahmanical and Jain temples of the 9th Century A.D.
Kailash Temple, hewn out of a single rock, carved with life size figures of gods and goddesses, is a wonder. (Ellora buddhist caves remain closed on every Tuesday). |

Day 13, Aurangabad – Hyderabad
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out at 1200 Noon. Afternoon proceed for city tour visiting Aurangabad Caves, Daulatabad Fort and Bibi Ka Muqbara.
Evening transfer to Manmad Railway station to connect train for Hyderabad ( By Ajanta Express 7063 : Dep 2240 Hrs).

After breakfast take a boat excursion to visit the serene Nagarjuna Konda Island Museum. One of the outstanding Buddhist civilisation dating back to the 3rd century AD were excavated here and are carefully preserved on a picturesque island called Nagarjuna Konda, situated in the centre of a man-made lake. Evening return to Nagarjuna Sagar.

Breakfast at hotel followed by a full-day guided tour. : AM visit to Sankaram - famous for its numerous rows of monolith stupas with expressive images of Lord Buddha. PM visit to Salihudam – an interesting Swastika shaped entrance with a 46-foot diameter stupa & Buddhist Platforms. It was from here that Buddhism spread to far eastern countries. Return to Vishakhapatnam.
